It’s been twenty-five years since a few Latina activists in St. Paul, MN, opened the doors to a shelter where Latinas and their children could find safety from domestic violence.  Read more about Casa de Esperanza’s history. . . .

To mark this milestone, Casa de Esperanza is planning a year-long fiesta – a celebration of all that Casa de Esperanza has become and all we envision for the future.

“Hope.  Casa de Esperanza develops family and community solutions to resolve the issues that lead to domestic violence – these innovations create hope.  Their approach is leading the way nationally and internationally, and it is delivering results!  Although crisis intervention is needed, prevention provides the hope for ending domestic violence.  Having lived through domestic violence as a child, my belief is that prevention is how to bring it to an end!  Ending domestic violence is why I support Casa de Esperanza!”
