Our Work

Our year-long 25th anniversary party gives you the opportunity to celebrate with us, spread the word about our work, and support Casa de Esperanza in fundraising to lay the foundation for our future.

Be creative and have some fun . . . . and benefit Casa de Esperanza at the same time! We’ve listed 25 ways that you can support Casa de Esperanza. We hope you’ll come up with an idea for an enjoyable, easy mini-fundraiser, invite your friends or get your co-workers involved, and let us know at 25@casadeesperanza.org.

If you’re interested, we’ll send you materials about Casa de Esperanza for distribution or send a staff member to share about our work.

Clean Out Your Casa for Casa – Garage Sale.
Donate silent auction items for the spring fiesta.
Donate on-line and get 25 friends to match your contribution.
Get your kids and their friends to do a car wash.
Invite a chef to cook for a group of your friends.
Involve your affinity group at work in planning a drive for new clothing or new bed linens (queen or twin ) for our shelter, El Refugio.
Organize a bake sale.
Ask your business to sponsor our spring fiesta.
Plan dance lessons and invite your friends.
Register to receive our anniversary e-updates.
Organize your place of worship to do a “second collection” for Casa de Esperanza. Coordinate with your co-workers to organize their places of worship for the same day.
Plan a progressive dinner with three friends.
Recruit friends to donate new personal care items or household goods for women at our Refugio.
Rent out your cabin for a week and donate the income.
Attend the spring fiesta. Bring 25 friends.
Volunteer at our Centros de Información y Recursos.
Gather friends for a coffee, wine, beer, or dessert tasting.
Bilingual? Volunteer to answer phones at our telethon.
Ask your favorite Latino restaurant to donate 10% of their proceeds from one evening.
Plan a cook-off with co-workers.
Participate in Proyecto Navidad.
Invite friends to your birthday party and ask them to donate to Casa de Esperanza in lieu of gifts.
Give our beautiful children’s products as gifts – Elena and the Magic Beans (bilingual storybook) and What are You Feeling? (bilingual flashcards). Or buy them for your child’s classroom.
Does your employer have a matching gift program? Ask them to match your donation to Casa de Esperanza.
Ask four friends to save their change for 2 months. Save your change for the whole year!
