What can you do?

Women: Teach your sons to be supportive partners. Listen when your friend needs someone to talk to. Believe in yourself and your strengths.

Men: Be effective role models for your children and encourage other men to build strong family relationships.

Medical professionals: Ask the right questions with sensitivity and listen carefully to the responses. Take our crisis line number to your workplace and make it available to patients who need it.

Religious leaders: Familiarize yourself with domestic violence. Create support systems within your church and open the dialogue from your pulpit. Join Movimiento Esperanza and talk to us about training.

Business Leaders: Show your employees that you care--implement procedures to support those who are victims of domestic violence.

Everyone: Call (651-646-5553) or email us (info@casadeesperanza.org) in November to "adopt a family" or contribute gifts to brighten the holidays for women and children suffering from abuse.
